Computers

I remember clearly the first time I ever encountered a computer. I must have been about 5 years old. In Key West (where I was born) I went to kindergarden at a place called Ponsiana Pre-school. All of the really young kids had their class in the upstairs room of the building, while the older kids (elementary) were in the downstairs. I remember one day I was allowed to go downstairs and hang out with the big kids, I was super excited. They had multipication tables, puzzles, books with words... I was amazed. Then I saw kids on something I had never seen before. Some type of box with a screen and keyboard. They were playing a strange, two dimensional game, I'm sure it was an educational type game, I can't remember. It fascinated me.

I don't really have many memories of computers after that untill the first time I logged onto the world wide web when I was in 3rd grade or so. I didn't start using the internet on a regular basis untill 6th grade. That was right about the time we had Y2K on our hands... ha. Now I use the internet daily for different reasons, but mostly to communicate with people and stay informed. Computers and the internet are unbelieveable and uncomprehendable tools... whose knows what they will think of next. I find nano computers particularly wild, the rate at which they are being developed is hard to fully grasp. Artificial intelligence seems somewhat sketch to me though, I'm not sure how I feel about it.
